Celaborelle is an awesome place to eat. I ate there a lot when I worked in downtown Fort Worth. It has a great buffet with a very good selection. I don’t know enough about the food to know the names of what they have, but it is all good. Especially the chicken and rice dish. Oh my goodness is it good. Thinking about it makes me want to eat dinner there tonight.
Needs and Deserves Discovering!
This is off the beaten path in an old house that’s seen better days, but boy is the food outstanding! In addition to an elaborate Middle Eastern/Mediterranean buffet, you get a fresh entree, too, for only 9 bucks! You can’t beat that anywhere. It’s my idea of a dining adventure, but some would rather pay 3 or 4 times as much for the decor, the celebrity chef, and the right crowd in the right neighborhood. I guess they can afford it. I can’t!
What and unexpected surprise!!!
I took my children here on a whim, never having eaten any sort of middle-eastern food previously. I was delectably surprised at not only the variety of foods, but the fact that the buffet items were labled with the name of the dish, as well as the ingredients used to prepare it. The foods were freshly prepared, never tasting ‘old’ or ‘ dryed’ or microwaved as some buffet food items taste. The individual seasonings and ingredients melted palatably together to make a luxurous tasting dish. The fact that it is situated in a restored mansion from the days of Fort Worth’s glorious cattle wealth, made this visit unforgetable.
“the best all-you-can-eat option in the Dallas-Fort Worth area”
Celaborelle’s “Phoenician buffet” surely represents the best all-you-can-eat option in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. For less than $10 at both lunch and dinner, you can feast on lentil spinach soup, beef-stuffed grape leaves, roasted chicken, hummus, outstanding whole-wheat pita bread and much more, including a full range of vegetarian dishes. (Phoenician food, by the way, is Lebanese to you and me.) The unusual thing, though, is that certain dishes are available in freshly made individual servings and are included in the buffet price, such as spicy, lemony chicken shawarma.
We love this place! We have been here many times and it has always been the best food ever and for a price you can afford and they are willing to take the time to explain the different dishes. It all taste fresh!! The parking is a small area, but you can park around the side.
Celaborelle is the best food..
Celaborelle is the best food.. and best food value around! I love small, family owned and operated establishments to start with. The food is wonderful as well as plentiful.. and you quickly become one of the family. It’s a weekly experience for us. It’s located in an old 2 story bungalow on Hemphill so you’re not paying a hefty premium for expensive real estate. Parking is a bit hit-or-miss but who cares. A Hookah lounge, porch or patio would be awesome.
You can get yourself a regular sultan’s feast inside this converted private house on Hemphill Boulevard in South Fort Worth. Just park on the uneven bricks, cross the threshold and find a table as the sounds of north African music and the smells of cumin and lamb surround you. This is the place to go if you want huge quantities of hummus, yogurt dip, feta cheese, shish kebab with rice and fresh baked flat bread for $9.99 a person. Kids are half price.
